Now let's see...what have I been up to... Well, I've wrestled with out garden. I've planted roses and other stuff that smells nice. I practically almost have a tan! I did taxes for my business for the first time, which totally makes me a grown-up. I'm learning Japanese. This is mostly because I want to play those Japanese video games that are never translated, which might subtract from the grown-up thing just an itty bitty bit, but I figure that a Japanese-speaking me is still cooler than the version of me that only speaks a measly four-and-a-half languages, am I right or am I right?
And now, look at my (apparently sideways) garden!

Four and a half is not measly by any stretch of the imagination. Just sayin'...
And taxes? Already you're paying taxes? The hell?!
VAT taxes. You do'em every three months, or somesuch. Granted, it was a big, fat zero, but it still felt very grown up,
What were you doing about taxes prior to that?
Just regular-people-taxes, which is really very simple. You get a form from the Powers that Be, with their calculations and estimates from your bank accounts and whatnot, and you correct it if it needs to be corrected and otherwise you don't have to do anything.
Business taxes are a bit more complicated, but I figure I can manage my own accounts and maybe hire an accountant to go over things before my income taxes are due.
Aren't you glad you asked?
