Writing in water

When former astronaut Neil Armstrong returned from space, he said that “It suddenly struck me that that tiny pea, pretty and blue, was the Earth. I put up my thumb and shut one eye, and my thumb blotted out the planet Earth. I didn't feel like a giant. I felt very, very small.

There are moments in life when we realize that something leaves us, most likely to never return. We’ll never again be able to restore some day or period of our life. Memories only stay in the confines of our minds, where they’re inevitable altered into something they never were or maybe fade away altogether. That particular epiphany can make you feel a bit like you’re staring at Earth from outer space.

So I have come to two conclusions, as a result of this philosophising:

1) Living is a bit like writing in water.

2) Blogging is a bit like farting in space.

choochoo, farting in a spacesuit is really, really not a good idea. Just think of it recycled fart... ;o)
PS: Don't worry these philosophical moments tend to go away with age... comes a day you have trouble remembering your name much less the past.

But can one really fart in space. What will happen to the gas, how will it disperse? Cause this implies no spacesuit, farting into a spacesuit isn't really farting into space, is it.

And if you don't have a spacesuit, the whole thing is moot, isn't it?

My brain hurts.

I prefer my false memories over the harsh reality.

Big brother and Jazz - yes, farting in a space suit is very different from farting in space. Actually, space consists of loads of gas. So in a way, space is a fart.

Anonymous - no worries. The seriousness never lasts.

Sundby - I'm working on a couple of good ones right now. Who needs a life? Not me!
